Alfama, fine Portuguese cuisine is located at 551 Hudson Street, at the corner of Perry Street in Greenwich Village, just a few short blocks below 14th Street. And we are located just three blocks west of 7th Avenue. (Hudson Street turns into 8th Avenue above 14th Street.)

By Taxi:
If you are coming from uptown:
Go down 7th Avenue and turn right (west) onto Charles Street. Go three short blocks to Hudson Street and turn right. Alfama is on the corner of Hudson and Perry Street.
If you are coming from downtown:
Go up 6th Avenue on Hudson Street.

By Subway:
You can easily reach the restaurant by subway. The A,C,E, L or 1, 2 & 3 trains are within walking distance.
If you take the A,C,E, or L:
Get off at the 14th Street / 8th Avenue stop.  Walk down 8th Avenue, which turns into Hudson Street.  We are just three short blocks below Abingdon Square Park.
If you take 1, 2 & 3 trains:
You can exit the train at 14th Street or Christopher Street stop. We are about equidistant between the two stations. Walk up (or down) 7th Avenue to Perry Street and walk three blocks west.

By Car:
There are 2 parking garages near Alfama. One is on Perry Street, between Hudson and Bleecker. Perry Street travels east, so approach the garage by travelling north on Hudson Street and make a right onto Perry. There is also a parking garage on Charles Street, between Bleecker and Hudson Street. Charles Street travels west. So, approach Charles Street in two ways: either by coming from Bleecker Street and making a right onto Charles or, by travelling south on 7th Avenue and turning right onto Charles Street.
